MBA races to victory

The JS Soccer team raced to a win this afternoon over an athletic and direct Ensworth squad.  After a tight first 15 minutes, the Big Red turned possession into goals, scoring 4 before halftime.  However, to begin the second half, the Tigers made the game interesting, using bulldozing physicality to scramble the MBA defense and score 4 goals themselves - the first the Reds have allowed this season.  Not to be deturred, our midfield took over the game once more, creating opportunity after opportunity and scoring 6 more goals to finish the game with a rare 10-4 scoreline.

Although the match did not turn out as planned, the Reds were tested and showed they have the mentality to recover from mistakes and respond to adversity.

Jameson Nelson deserves credit for a fantastic penalty save - and the goalscorers on the day were: Briggs Waddey, Charles Denton, Jack Schirm, Jude Andrews, Sebastian Muller (2), Thomas Roper (2), and Jameson Meriwether (2).
