Sophomore Youth Leadership Opportunity

SYLO 2025 is here!

The MBA Sophomore Youth Leadership Opportunity (SYLO) is a program designed to provide MBA Sophomores with an interactive leadership opportunity involving some of Nashville's most prominent business and civic leaders.

This year selected MBA Sophomores will spend Friday, February 21, engaged in on-campus activities focused on introducing students to life in the world beyond MBA, honing skills central to success in professional and personal endeavors, role playing real world scenarios of community involvement and learning more about specific professions.  The day will be filled with fun and new experiences led by experts in a variety of fields.

As part of the SYLO experience, students will be paired with some of Nashville’s top civic and business leaders in a variety of fields: business (sports, sales, manufacturing, logistics, entertainment, etc.), law, non-profit community endeavors, education, government, medicine, and the arts.  The special 2025 programming will include a 60-minute "Google Meet" with one of these off-campus mentors.

TO APPLY FOR SYLO, 10TH GRADE STUDENTS SHOULD LOG INTO SCHOLAR, GO TO "RESOURCES" AND THEN TO THE "SOPHOMORE YOUTH LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY."
