MBA splits with Baylor and McCallie

The varsity wrestling team competed well today against McCallie and Baylor. The matches started at the heavier weights, and in the first dual our big boys helped us jump out to an early lead against McCallie. Throughout the match we continued to build on the lead and defeated McCallie in the end. In the 2nd match we took on Baylor, who is regarded as the best team in the state of Tennessee, and one of the top teams in all of the southeast. Though being defeated, our guys showed tremendous fight, and they pushed Baylor tougher than almost any team has in the state of Tennessee in a few years. A highlight of this match was Mac Russ defeating a Georgia state champion who transferred into Baylor this year. Final scores:
