Sam Garrett Sporting Clays Challenge

On a beautiful Saturday morning, shooters, friends, and family gathered to participate in the Sam Garrett Sporting Clays Challenge to honor, remember, and celebrate Sam. The team shot well, with Vaughan Chamblin ‘25 turning in a 98 (a new team record) to earn the High Individual Shooter award, and JD Abernathy won the Long Bird competition in a shoot off! A big thank you to Amy & Billy Brown, Meg & John Manning, Kim Johnson-Knapp, Tyler Smith, and Cross Creek Clays for putting on an incredible event! I know Sam would be proud to see so many accomplished sporting clays shooters enjoying the competition at one of his favorite courses. His memory and passion are always present, and inspires us to achieve at a high level in all that we do. We love and miss you, Sam!
