MBA 4 - Nashville Catholic 0

It was another gorgeous afternoon for futbol, and the JS Soccer team would confront its toughest competition to date with Nashville Catholic.  Bossing possession, the Big Red created opportunities, but couldn't put the ball in the net.  Meanwhile Nashville Catholic began taking advantage of the space behind our possession build up with an athletic counter attack when they would win the ball.

Nathaniel Coreno did well throughout the match, making several saves and coming out aggressively to narrow shooting angles, again holding up his end of the bargain on the way to a fourth shutout on the season.

Ultimately a goal by Jameson Meriwether put the good guys ahead 1-0 at halftime.  Later, he assisted a fine first time shot by Sebastian Muller to go up 2-0.  Thomas Roper would finish a cross with an aggressive headed goal, and Drake Gambill got on the end of a poetic series of passes to round out a striking team goal to finish off the game at 4-0.

JS Soccer hosts Ensworth today at home at 4:15pm for a second game in as many days.
