An experienced squad consisting of mostly 8th graders made the start tonight for the Big Red's opening match of the season.  However, it was the lone 7th grade starter, Jameson Meriwether, who scored 4 goals to put the finishing touches on a game that saw USN defend in numbers from the opening whistle.

Notably, Sebastian Muller hammered in a lawn mowing rocket from distance for a goal before Charles Denton juggled a ball to eye level and then nodded it over a sprawling keeper for a classy finish rarely seen at any level.

Evan Hopke and Tucker Robbins exemplified solid team defending throughout the match to give Nathaniel Coreno and Jameson Nelson (goalkeepers) shutout honors for the evening.

The Big Red have a week of practice before their first home game next Tuesday, October 15th vs Valor.
