MBA’s Tri-M Chapter Earns National Recognition; Faculty Advisor Appointed to Leadership Role
MBA’s Tri-M Music Honor Society continues to make waves on the national stage. Recently named the National Tri-M Chapter of the Year for 2023-2024, the chapter earned a prestigious grant that helped fund a special panel discussion, Breaking Down Barriers with Music.
The event, featuring renowned musicians from the Nashville community, explored music’s power to foster connection and understanding. Students had the opportunity to engage with industry professionals, gaining insights into the transformative role of music in society.
In addition to the chapter’s success, MBA faculty advisor Nikki Wilson has been appointed Co-Chair of the Tri-M Advisory Council through the National Association for Music Education. This two-year national leadership position recognizes Nikki’s dedication to advancing music education. As Co-Chair, Wilson will oversee national initiatives for Tri-M chapters across the country and participate in legislative and policy meetings, helping to shape national music education policies that will ultimately be presented to Congress.
These achievements underscore MBA’s commitment to excellence in music education, both in the classroom and on a national scale. Congratulations to our Tri-M chapter and its faculty leadership for their remarkable accomplishments!
