On the morning of Saturday, November 2, during Homecoming weekend festivities at The University of the South, the Sewanee Volunteer Fire Department dedicated their ladder truck in memory of MBA ('07) and Sewanee ('11) alum Captain Travis Brannon, USMC. A former lacrosse player and student volunteer firefighter while at Sewanee, Captain Brannon died in service to his country in March 2019. His mother Susie Brannon was the guest of honor for the plaque dedication ceremony. Following the dedication, the ladder truck led the alumni parade to Hardee-McGee Field for the Sewanee vs. Southwestern football game.
In November 2021 during our annual Veterans Day Ceremony, MBA dedicated the "Travis Walker Brannon Terrace," the seating and gathering area for the Frank Andrews Lacrosse Field.
